The hard life in snow and ice

Hi sweeties! ^.^

Enjoying your Easter vacation? I don't have anything particular to write about, but I figured it would be too bad to leave the blog alone, so I'll just type away and see what comes out.

First of all I feel like this day have been really short. This could be because Norway, like many other countries, set their clock back to summer time last night. Suddenly an hour had literally vanished in thin air!
It could also be because I had so much fun today. Gulli and I witnessed our dear friend Audun taking a freezing dip in the ocean, like a true viking! And like a true friend, I laughed so hard I could hardly breathe when I saw his expression. Most of the water was still frozen, and there he was shaking in a pair of swimming shorts and crocs. Back on shore, Gulli and I was dressed up like Eskimos...

It's been heavily snowing the last days. The snow has gathered up along the roads in meter-high piles. Everyone is cursing the weather, and the complaints are frequent on facebook. I'm also looking forward to spring, and I think snow the day before April is a bit late, but I've tried not to think about it.
After all, it's nothing to do about it, right? So why waste energy on negative thoughts?

Note: If the mentioned snow doesn't disappear during the following month, I will take back the opinions written above, and dedicate an entire blog post cursing the weather gods.
But so far, so good ^^

If the weather continues this way, I think I'll have a polar bear edition of tomorrow, and then a reindeer edition and a seal edition. I could also introduce you to a new species, also known as "Northern Norwegian teen forced to walk outside by its parents".

Math test: accomplished! ^^

Hi sweethearts! ^^

Did I say there was a blizzard the other day? Well, it was nothing compared to yesterday! The weather was raging outside. When we drove a friend of mine home, it was suddenly so much snow in the air that we couldn't see the road! (Good thing I wasn't in the driver seat, I'd panic).
Something else that's freaked me out a little bit was the fact that I was going to have a math test today. The entire day. I do quite good at school, but when it comes to math... You could say it's my weak spot.
Math doesn't make sense to me like the other subjects. I have to concentrate really hard, or else the digits and letters just float together in a big mess in my head. At the same time my goal is to do good in ALL subjects, so I have to conquer math to succeed. But it's just so complicated :(

Luckily I think it went pretty well, and I'm hoping for a 4 (C)! ^^ Or maybe I just felt it was going good because I actually misunderstood all the tasks... It will be interesting to see.
The weather had calmed down today, so I didn't freeze to death or got blown off the road or something when I walked home. You got to appreciate the little things!

Now that I got that math test out of my head, I'll try to focus on different matters. I need to get serious with working out (if I want to fit in the clothes we find in Japan), I need to get better in Japanese (so that I can ask the shop employees to bring a bigger size), and I really need to find more interesting topics to blog about.
What would be to your liking? ^.^

Talking about blog matters, we are currently working hard on making a new header! (A bit late, I know).
I hope it will turn out nice, and I'm sure you are just as tired of the old header as we are.
That's why I'm sharpening my photo editing skills a little, so that I can make better and cooler pictures for the blog :)

Practiced my photo editing-skills on this picture I took today. The plan was really just to show the new nail polish I'm wearing (Forever Yummy by Essie), but oh well. 

I know I've said it many times before, but I can't wait for spring! It feels like I've been trapped inside the house the whole winter, and I miss those days where you can go out without looking like an Eskimo soo badly! >.<
Oh, and Gulli is planning on getting some more professional camera equipment, so now you can look forward to dazzling pictures of us wearing the latest spring fashion in blooming, sunny Norway.
Or at least, that's the ultimate goal but, uhm... We'll see.

Today has been a cold and windy day, and I'm not exagerating when I say it was like a storm outside. Thought I would be blown away! But luckily I am still here, and I even managed to shop a little bit today. Silje is super busy with cramming for her math test tomorrow, and I'm sooo glad I don't have to think about math, at least untli next school year...-.- Anyway I don't actually know whar I'll write about, so I think I'll just give you anothe little look into my life. You want that? Well, it's not like you got a choice now~

A while ago we were working with napkin folding at school. I think I did quite good actually, and got really proud of my water lily folded napkin! ^.^

Another day we paired up with the 1 years to make some food and write about healthy lifestyle. This is what we made~ It was SUPER yummy <3

Winter in Norway + birthday party! ^^

Hello everybody!

So here are the promised pictures! The idea of taking a lot of pictures from my way home from school was quite impulsive. I've been playing with the thought some time, and yesterday I remembered to bring my camera in my purse. I think many Norwegians, especially us in Northern Norway, often forget how beautiful the nature that surround us is. After all, tourists fly all over the world to see it!
My mother used to tell me to be grateful for the fact that my way to school might be one of the prettiest in the world. I didn't understand what she meant until I got older, though ^^

My little dog Tinto and I went out for a walk in the snow.

Yesterday I also went to the birthday party of Rebecca, a good friend of mine ^^
I didn't manage to take as much pictures there, especially since the other girls were rather shy ;)

Recovered from the cold! :D

Wiiii~ Hello there cutie pies!

So I have been absent from the blog for a while due to a stupid cold. When I get sick, I never manage to finish anything, so blogging is not ideal to do then. Now I'm finally recovered and full of energy, well almost, I'm still a little hoarse in the morning and stuff, but it's overcoming. And Siljes post yesterday really cheered me up. :D so sweet <3

Today I finally got my pass photo taken, and it did not look good... I had to take of my glasses and tilt my chin upwards, which increased the size of my side jaws... I might, just might show it to you later. In the meantime I'll show you guys some photos from my day. ^.^

Today we made some food and worked on a product my class is making. It's got to do with...carrots. ^^

You may not see it, but that's carrots~

I can't live without tea in the winter, or any other season for that matter.
Both me and Silje are big tea-holics.

We also made some pizza to eat today, yummy~

 That's a quick view on what we did in school today. It's been so long since we made pizza in school, instead we focus more on things we can use for our exam. So not looking forward to that.... ><

I went shopping for groceries the other day, and this is some of the things I got ^^

My weekend~

Good evening sweeties~

Today I have been sick and home from school... My body don't handle cold too well, so when we switched bus on Sunday I was likely too cold, and the fact that it's super cold where we were. Anyway, I'm feeling a lot better now, so I'll most likely go to school tomorrow.

I know I've said this before, but I'll really try harder to blog... Once I get more in the rhythm and such I'll probably be better. :p Hope you'll be patient. Since we are getting more and more views I really have to get a grip and get better.

My last post was a quick one I just wrote when I got home, so I didn't upload any of the photos. Tomorrow is another day, and hopefully with more things to write about. ^^ so this one is gonna be a sequel to the other one I guess.

Some food we had the day we arrived. It was so good to finally get something to eat after the long bus ride. ^.^
