Future blog plans! ^^

Hello lovelies! ~

Sorry for my lack of blogging lately... Guess who was lucky enough to get drawn in math for tryout oral exams too? Oh yeah. The math is seriously following me. I'll probably get drawn in math for the real oral exam at Friday as well ._.
In other words, I've been stuck inside preparing my tasks until yesterday, and today, of course, my class had to take a long bus ride in order to visit a quarry (?). It's quite common for businesses and other workplaces here to invite school classes. They want to convince us that a bright future awaits us right here in our local community, and that it's not necessary for us to move anywhere else. Nowadays most young people on the Norwegian countryside move to the cities to work and live, and it has turned into a problem in many areas.
Oh well, I think they should have credit for trying. Even though I think every person should get an opportunity to decide for themselves what they want to do with their lives, before anyone else tells them what's smart or not.

Anyway, Gulli and I have decided that we'll make an introduction video of ourselves and the blog for our half year-anniversary! It will (hopefully) be up on the date itself, which is 23rd of June ^^
I'm a bit nervous for showing all of you our crazy personalities, bad sense of humor, and weird accents... But it's about time to show ourselves! Heh...

Since there's no doubt you guys have a lot of interest in fashion, I'm thinking about making more fashion posts soon. It takes a bit more work than ordinary posts, but I think it's fun and I learn a lot by researching different sub-trends. I hope you will enjoy them as well! ^.^

Now I'm going to enjoy the rest of my Friday night, talk to you later! ~

PS. To all of our readers in center Europe that's been affected by the flood: I hope all of you are doing all right, and that things soon will return to normal!

Japan Lover

Hi people of the world!

Do you know what days you get done the least? Those with a lot of free time! Wow, I had so much time on my hands today, which could have been used to work out, plan a longer, more intelligent blog post, or have a little photoshoot with all the stuff I received from Japan the other day, but no...
More about the Japan stuff will come later though. I ordered two pairs of shoes from Rainbowholic, a lifestyle blogger which I happen to be a great admirer of ^.^

Oh, it's my turn at the bathroom already... Think of something good to blog about, Silje, think now...
Well, let me just say that you have something to look forward too! The spring has finally arrived here (slowly), so now we'll be able to take more pictures outside :D
I'm having a lot of ideas like video blogging, an-almost-professional photoshoot and long posts, all we need to do is get to work! ^^

Today I felt a sudden urge for Japan (that tends to happen at least once a week), so I've been searching the internet jungle for kawaii this and kawaii that. (Hm, so that's where my afternoon went.)
I see at lot of girls commenting things as "one day I'll go to Japan, it's my biggest dream", and I feel really blessed since I know I'm going there this summer! It's outside the sakura season though, but I guess you can't have everything at once ^^

A new website for Japan lovers all over the world will be opened tomorrow (today for those in a timezone further east); Japan Lover! It seems so promising, and I found the most touching video the crew made for promoting Japan o.o

I guess this proves that I'm a Japan Lover, as it actually made me fell a tear... Can't wait to go!

Talk to you later, loved ones! ~

Math test: accomplished! ^^

Hi sweethearts! ^^

Did I say there was a blizzard the other day? Well, it was nothing compared to yesterday! The weather was raging outside. When we drove a friend of mine home, it was suddenly so much snow in the air that we couldn't see the road! (Good thing I wasn't in the driver seat, I'd panic).
Something else that's freaked me out a little bit was the fact that I was going to have a math test today. The entire day. I do quite good at school, but when it comes to math... You could say it's my weak spot.
Math doesn't make sense to me like the other subjects. I have to concentrate really hard, or else the digits and letters just float together in a big mess in my head. At the same time my goal is to do good in ALL subjects, so I have to conquer math to succeed. But it's just so complicated :(

Luckily I think it went pretty well, and I'm hoping for a 4 (C)! ^^ Or maybe I just felt it was going good because I actually misunderstood all the tasks... It will be interesting to see.
The weather had calmed down today, so I didn't freeze to death or got blown off the road or something when I walked home. You got to appreciate the little things!

Now that I got that math test out of my head, I'll try to focus on different matters. I need to get serious with working out (if I want to fit in the clothes we find in Japan), I need to get better in Japanese (so that I can ask the shop employees to bring a bigger size), and I really need to find more interesting topics to blog about.
What would be to your liking? ^.^

Talking about blog matters, we are currently working hard on making a new header! (A bit late, I know).
I hope it will turn out nice, and I'm sure you are just as tired of the old header as we are.
That's why I'm sharpening my photo editing skills a little, so that I can make better and cooler pictures for the blog :)

Practiced my photo editing-skills on this picture I took today. The plan was really just to show the new nail polish I'm wearing (Forever Yummy by Essie), but oh well.
I know I've said it many times before, but I can't wait for spring! It feels like I've been trapped inside the house the whole winter, and I miss those days where you can go out without looking like an Eskimo soo badly! >.<
Oh, and Gulli is planning on getting some more professional camera equipment, so now you can look forward to dazzling pictures of us wearing the latest spring fashion in blooming, sunny Norway.
Or at least, that's the ultimate goal but, uhm... We'll see.

Talk to you later, now I gotta work with the header! ^^

Grand blog ambitions!

Hi everyone! :D

It's been a few days since I posted something. I've been a little burned out, and I had some schoolwork to catch up too. Luckily Gulli has been posting frequently and kept things up and running! ^^

You would think that after a break I would return with an extra inspiring, long and meaningful post.
But no, the gods haven't blessed me with some huge blog-revelation just yet. My brain has been working on some grand ideas, however, they are a bit hard to pull through. (Like most of my ideas.. *sigh*)
But not less it's something I'd really like to do! I spend a lot of time thinking of how to improve the blog, and make it more interesting for you to read! :3
I'll post some of my blog ambitions here, let me know what you think ^^ :

  • A new design! The design we have now is pretty cute, but I'd like a special made, more personal design that would fit Sakura Kiss perfectly! Both Gulli and I are hopeless technophobes, so we'll have to find another person fit for the task ^^
  • More pictures of me! Once Gulli mentioned to me: "There are so little pictures of you on the blog, the readers hardly know how you look like." I know! I've had some camera complications, but I'll get better and make it a routine, so you at least know who's writing. Right now I seem more like a blogger-ghost, don't I? >.<
  • More pictures in general. I've got this habit that I google most of the pictures I use. But I'll try to add more pictures from my daily life, such as clothing, make-up, the things I do, and my surroundings. (Haven't you all longed for your daily weather forecast from Norway?)
  • A video blog! This is something Gulli and I have talked about for a long time! Unfortunately, she have just gone to a another town to work at some bakery for two weeks .__.  (The name of the town is Mosjøen; it's a rather depressing place, and NOT on top of your "things to see in Norway"-list.) We'll make one as soon as we can, and maybe, just maybe, I have the courage to make one on my own.
  • More fashion! I love fashion, but I don't live in the most fashionable place. Street snaps and such are next to impossible here, so I'll go for more general fashion posts like the Lolita post. I thought I'd also show some more of my own fashion preferences and inspiration sources.
Would that be to your liking, o great readers? ^.^

Gulli will soon post some snaps from our cafe trip yesterday, so you'll get another chance too see how I look like, haha :D
If you already forgot that, however, I'll post an old pic right now:

Sweet dreams everyone! ^.^

Why I became a blogger

Good evening sweet ones! ^^

Right now I'm typing carefully while I'm waiting for my nail polish to dry. Due to my laziness my nails have been "au nautral" for a while, and since they started to look ugly I decided to cover them up in deep, shiny Aruba Blue :3 It's a shame that I can't be more careful with my nails, once they've gotten long and pretty, I stop protecting them with basecoat and they all break. It's something very elegant and feminine over long nails. I don't like them super long, but just that little tip that makes the fingers look longer and slimmer.
Haha, but really, this post wasn't supposed to be about nails, anyway!

I have something to confess to you guys. I'm not an experienced blogger, and there are many times I don't have a clue of what to write about, and end up on something random. It's a bit frustrating too, cause' I really want to write about something interesting and helpful to my readers.
I also try to blog everyday. Sakura Kiss is still in a beginner phase, so I find it important to maintain a high activity on the blog, and try to fetch new readers ^.^
Lately our page views have been greatly increasing, so I have a good feeling that we will reach our goal together!

You might wonder why I became a blogger in the first pace?
Well, I've always been a girl with a lots of thoughts and opinions on everything, and it's nice to have a place to share it. I'm very fond of languages, different people and cultures, and the world in general, and that's why I love having an international blog! To get the opportunity to write for people all over the world feels amazing, and I get this tingling feeling whenever I see all the different countries our readers are from :3
I get my inspiration from all types of things, and as you may noticed my posts are quite different from each other too. It goes from Lolita fashion to bad days and personal thoughts and dreams.

I'm not sure what you prefer to read about. Maybe I should continue with a lot of different stuff like before to give you variation?  Sakura Kiss was made to be a lifestyle blog after all, so I'll write anything that I think will brighten your day or encourage you. ^^
Hopefully my posts haven't been that bad, and I hope that anyone who have a wish or idea for this blog doesn't hesitate to tell! We'd love to hear from you, even if it's critique :D
------

As for today, my mood has been on top all day! That's because my favorite band Nu'est released the date for their comeback this morning! ^^ 13th of February is already marked off in the calendar with a big heart :3 They haven't released new songs for over a half year now, so I'm aching to hear something new from them.
It's so nice to have the thought spinning in my back head all the time, that I don't think it's possible for me to have a bad day until the song is released! :D
I'll add the music video from their debut song "Face", which happens to be the most played song on my iPod. Watch it in HD!

Sweet dreams <3

Why so serious?

Good evening! Hope you all are having a nice Friday night! ^^

I'm so tired now. It feels like it's middle of night already. Guess I've been doing a lot this week, I've been half asleep the whole day. Luckily Friday is a quite relaxed day in my class, all we've done is reading, playing games, walked to town and back, and playing ball games in gym class. Due to my sleepy state, I didn't impress much. Honestly, I never do! All I did was discussing with my gym teacher which music he should play. "No, no, no, that music is way too slow! Can't you see we're in the heat of the game here??"
I said we, even though I was standing on the sideline as one of the first to get shot. (Great job, Silje. Very impressing.) As you may understand it happened close to nothing interesting today, and I don't think my brain works as normal either. That's why I decided to give you some notes of what was on my mind today:

  • I'm always late. Always. And that could be why people everywhere stares surprised at me and shout: "Congratulations!" or "What are you doing here so early? It's a whole minute until we start!" whenever I actually arrive in time. One time the teacher and the whole class even applauded me! .__.
  • I should write a book. Yes, I should! The youngest author in Norway is as far as I know 16 years old, and I happen to be 15. So if I hurry to finish the book before my birthday in November, I'll be the youngest! And you what that means? Publicity. And that means money. Cash~ing!
  • My grade in gymnastics is 5 (B). That is either a big mistake in the paper work, or my gym teacher showing a lot of mercy.
Certain music should be forbidden from certain people. If people really knew how much my personality change with a song, they wouldn't let me listen to it. My mother and stepfather should have realized just how crazy my music is, but...they like it too. Yes, they like it! Even though they usually don't understand half of it. (It's either Korean, Japanese, or just really, really fast.) Well, shouldn't people listen to whatever music that makes them happy? I'll link you a music video of Crayon by G-dragon (Korean rapper and Big Bang member). You can love it or hate it, but it's totally mind blowing!
And it sets a great example of my mood today...

If I'm mad, he's supermad O.O

But I haven't been all useless today! I planned a nice girls night for Gulli and I. Tomorrow, of course. Now I'm way to tired/over tired. We'll both bring our cameras (though mine is acting like it's from the last millennium) and we try to have a photoshoot or videoblog for you guys! What would you prefer? ^^

Rather short update this time. I really, really need you guys to come with suggestions!
Do you think we should have more personal posts like this one, or stick to fashion and self-confidence posts?

Well, I promise we'll blog tomorrow! Talk to you later, cute ones! \^.^/
