Theater punks ;>

Hi loved ones!

Feels like it's been ages since last time I blogged. On the bright side, I'm very motivated!
I've been re-sizing and editing more pictures for the little "photoshoot" we had last weekend. The sun has finally made its arrival in the cold north (yay, sun!), so we had the perfect nautral lightning. Our theater locale also turns out to be a great photo set. It's over 100 years old, so it has such a nice, authentic feel to it.
Did you know that our theater is hunted too? It's true! We have both heard and experienced so many weird, unexplained things. I'll tell you more about that later .

Here's the pictures:

These pictures got rather unclear, sorry ~

Dancing skeleton print ^^

For this look I tried to keep the make up a little doll-like, to make a contrast. On the lower picture I'm wearing my costume (supposed to be 1920's). Maybe we should post pictures of them too?

I'm so glad the theater locale worked this good. I'm already having ideas for a bunch of other themed photo sets! That's how it works here you see; I'm getting all the crazy ideas, and Gulli ends up fixing everything... Sorry dear! :(

Goodbye from us! ~

PS. I would like to give a big, whole-hearted thanks to our great "personal photographer" Simon! Audun helped out too ^^

Tokyo Girls Collection Spring/Summer 2013

Hi pretty ones!

On March 2 Japan's largest fashion event Tokyo Girls Collection went off at Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo.
It's the 16th time it's being held, and it's the number one event for fashionable girls, both inside and outside Japan.
What makes Tokyo Girls Collection so special is that the fashion presented are the fashion that's in now, not stuff that's going to be popular in the next season etc. It's something for every taste, and it's a great way to get inspired! ^^ TGC is also an important arena for Japanese bands and artists, and every year there are surprise performances.
Here is a short summary list of the key elements:

  • Vertical black and white stripes
  • Floral pattern
  • Bright colors
  • High-waisted shorts
  • Platform heels
  • Skinny trousers
There were endless outfits, but I picked my favorites that either got me inspired or made me want to wear it right away! ^.^
The summer feeling is strong on these!

These are just some of the outfits and brands that impressed me, and it made me miss warm weather even more! Gotta wait just a little longer...
As you might know I'm a huge kawaii fan, and that's one of the reasons the outfits I picked were cute and brightly colored. You get happy just by looking at them! ^^

Important: All photos are taken by Michael Steinebach, and borrowed from Tokyo Fashion. I was not present at the fashion show myself.

What do you think?

I want: Pink hair!

Hey sweeties!

Today I felt an instant urge to color my hair light pink. I'm not sure why, I've thought of it a long time, but today I had some sort of vision of myself with gorgeous, candy floss pink hair.
Even when I thought of all the bad points, such as bleach and re-growth, it still felt like a good idea!
Honestly I still haven't got the vision out of my head, so who knows, maybe my hair will be pink soon? ^^
My mother sounded a bit skeptical when I told her over the phone, and she asked if I could wait until my light pink wig arrive so I can try the color on first. I guess she's not that spontaneous.
I've always wanted to try an unnatural hair color, and I think light pink is perfect. It's cute and edgy at the same time, and it fits my wardrobe :)

Oooh, isn't it just so lovely?! Me want >.<

By the way, I just remembered that we have a whole day English test tomorrow. Not that I'm so bad in English, but there are some texts we have to read on forehand in order to do the tasks. I just found out that these texts are 16 pages all together. It's about time to start reading them, huh?
I guess I'll never change.

Thought I'd share this smart video with you before I go, some really good tips there! ^^

Fashion trend; 3D nail art ^.^

Hello everyone!

So yesterday Silje wrote a post about nail polish and she asked if I could write about the phenomena called 3D nails! This must be one of the most awesome nail decoration I know of.

What is 3D nails?

3D nails are a three dimensional nail art design, mostly created on acrylic, or fake nails, which is then applied over the persons real nails. The design is created by shaping colored acrylic and building the design that is wanted. The most common creation is flowers, where the petals and leaves stick up from the surface creating a dramatic look. The style is worn by many because they find it different and attractive, but it is also often used in mainly weddings and special occasions  They are not very functionary in every line of work, and not many can handle having this type of nails everyday. Pieces can be applied on the natural nail, but then it has to be at least on layer of nail polish first, and people find it easier to work with the designs on fake nails because it gives a lot more space and they can last longer that way, it will harm the natural nail less as well.

Here are some examples of total kawaii nail art:

Love the colors ^.^
I guess you kind of got an idea of what it is now, but if you still want to see more just type "3D nail art kawaii". ^.^

This is one of the thing I'm really looking forward to get when I go to Japan, because they have awesome nail salons where they do the most amazing looks. Super super excited!! :D
Well, hope you enjoyed my post.

Bye bye~
