Our life in Tokyo (part 1)

Hello there cuddly puffs!

Right now I'm sitting in school, and I thought I'd take some time and blog a little. I have plans to do a haul and show you guys all the stuff I got in Japan, I just need to get it organized.. I have a lot of beauty products and clothes to show. ^^
Sadly fall is approaching fast here, so most of the clothes I got don't fit the weather too good.

I still have a lot of pictures you guys haven't seen, and there is so much more to be told about the trip, so I think I'll do that now.

In the other post I wrote about the first day when we arrived, if you haven't read it, read it here.

A picture I took when we boarded our plane from Heathrow

Inside the plane~ What really annoyed me during the flight was the fact that they had to pause the entertainment every single time they had to say something... And if you were wearing headphones you could risk going deaf.

The first days were super humid and warm since we hadn't gotten used to the heat yet. Fans were super holy and I think I have like seven or eight fans with me home. Every morning we had to wake up at 6 or earlier to get ready, and then there was breakfast at 6:50. We would leave the house, everyone, in their car at ten past seven. They drove us all to the train station where we took the local train to our school. The whole family would leave the house at the same time, and we managed to be kinda late often which caused all the other to be late... We felt really bad about that, and tried our best to hurry it up in the morning.

I can't find any of the pictures from breakfast I took... So the dinner will have to do^^

We would arrive at school an hour or more before we start, so almost every morning we'd grab a ice coffee or something, and sometime stop by the konbini store to get something to eat, drink or read. Slowly all the other host family students would arrive, followed by the campus students joining us. We had two or three hours of school every day, followed by an activity with the teachers where we'd go see the town.

My first purchase at the konbini~
When we finished our activity or trip with the teachers and leaders, we could go to places on our own, as long as we were two or more. I have spent many afternoons and early nights in Shibuya and Harajuku. They have so much awesome stuff, and I felt like my fashion inspiration burst into high mode. So many ideas! So many fashionable people! I think I might make an own post about the shopping experience later.~

From our trip to Asakusa^^  soo pretty~

My favorite place, Shibuya, especially 109 <3 <3
I will try and write more about it later, because I think I need to do some school work now..
Bye Bye~

Back to School

Hi everyone!!

Remember me? It's been a crazy long time since I updated the blog! I've been in an all-out vacation mode, so I'm sorry if you were checking for updates without finding anything new.. :(
Gulli already told you about our trip to Japan, it was super crazy mega awesome! I got so much inspiration and plans for the future that I don't even know where to start. First of all, I'm definitely aiming to take a year abroad. I know it will be hard mastering the language differences, exams and all that, but it will be worth it. I guess it would be more fun for you as well, if I can update the blog directly from Tokyo!  ^^

During my stay in Tokyo I also got the opportunity to explore different fashions, and I got to taste a bit of the lolita style I've always been longing for. We don't have that many pictures of the clothes we bought yet, but I'll try to update you on that later. I'm bursting of fashion inspiration after spending many long afternoons at my beloved Harajuku. Seriously, it's not just a myth. Harajuku is just as freaking amazing in reality as you picture it to be!

I have to admit that I feel a bit lost after finally returning home to our little town. It felt like traveling back in time, actually. It felt like waking up from a fantastic dream and realizing you're still in your bedroom.
I didn't feel ready to leave Japan, so it was a bit painful. We got into the new lifestyle so naturally, it somehow felt like I've been doing the same for years. Getting up early, eating breakfast with the host family, sleeping on the local train to school, grabbing a coffee before class starts.
It all became so nautral for me that I still sometimes close my eyes and pretend I'm at the same train again, at the beginning of a new, fantastic day in Tokyo.
Oh, this became very nostalgic. At least you got a feeling of how our trip was.

School starts in a few days here, and autumn is about to make it's arrival. I'm not sure if I'm ready for it, but in my lack if a time machine I just have to accept it. I'm sure many of you feel the same way ^^
Enjoy your last days of vacation to the fullest, and remember to bring the good memories and experiences from the summer with you when everyday life starts again!

Family picture ~ From the back left: our lovely host mother Noriko-san, Gulli, myself, our host brother Jan from Switzerland

Talk to you soon!

Our first day in Tokyo~ ^3^

Hello!

We are back in Norway again!
It's really bitter sweet being home again, because Tokyo had become a second home for me. I felt like I belonged there. The only reason I wanted to go home was to meet my family and friends again, and because the money would eventually dry up if I stayed there any longer...

I know many of you really want to see the pictures from the trip, and I'm working on getting all my photos from the memory cards and into my computer. Also thought that I'll split up the picture posts into days/places to make it easier to follow. ^^
So today is gonna be from our first days there.

First I'll start from the day we landed at Narita airport. We were hit by a huge wall of heat, and I so regretted not bringing some shorts or any light clothes in my hand luggage. Believe me, wearing a black, long tights, a grey top and a military green jacket was not my smartest choice..

Tokyo next~

This!! <3 soo good
I don't know what it's called... It's some sort of soda with a super yummy ice cream/sorbet on the top.

These are the pictures we took from the bus that drove us to the school. It was a around 2 hours long bus ride, but we stopped to eat lunch. After coming to school we were shoved around a little and then taken to meet our host families. It was a little scary at first because we didn't know what our host family would be like, but luckily they were really nice and welcoming. We felt like part of the family really fast. The last two pictures are from Tama Center, which is around where our train station was, and you know what..? It was Hello Kitty town! We lived 10 minutes with the monorail from Hello Kitty land!! ^^
I really like it there. Then after shoving us around their town, we went to their house and got dinner. Our host mother makes really good food. OMG! I was always looking forward to dinner or breakfast. I really miss the food.

Until next time~ <3

One week in Tokyo~

Konbanwa! (Good evening!)

Oh my god!! It's already been a week since we landed here ib Tokyo! The time has just flewn away with the wind, and I feel like we don't have much time left. Since we have school everyday, activities in the afternoon, and then dinner at 7-8 i feel like I really don't have enough time to get everything i want/need...

The first food I ate in Japan! Ramen<3

I'm so sorry we have not been able to keep our promise about more updates, but my stupid adapter and cord won't cooperate! >< I have been to yamada, one of the biggest electronic shops, but they didn't have my kinda adapter.. :(
So I'm still out of power, and I won't be able to get my pictures from the camera. So until I get this fixed (if it gets fixed) you'll have to survive with phone pictures. Gomenasai!

We had flower arrangement the other day.

So on saturday we went to an omatsuri! (Festival) We wore our yukatas, and walked around looking and trying festival food. Was lots of yummy food. We also go to try the classic anime/manga thing with the rice paper scoop that you use to catch fish. I got 5, but my friend Ida got around 12. o0
It was actually really fun.
We also went to the shrine and got some charms and future telling note ( I can't remember the name). We did lots of stuff, and I'll write more about this when I get my computer.

We went to kareoke! ^.^

Most of my photos are in the camera..

Today we we went go.... Pokemon center!!  :D

That was a dangerous shop! OMG, we went crazy! Some bought for like 40 000 yen! That was really amazing! Even though 40 000 yen is not thaat much in NOK, it's still a lot of stuff. But it was so cool to watch what they had got. I was so jealus of some of the stuff, but I got myself a Eevee, in natural size I think. It's so cute!! <3 I love it! I'm so bringing it on the plane as a pillow.

Now I think I'll head to bed, since we have schooø tomorrow..-.-
Oyasumi! (Good night) ^.^
